Blog Post #2:digital collage

/

For my photo collage I simply layered 3 seperate photos of mine. I achieved photo was taken on the same day during my adavnced photography class. The first photo I chose is a collection of small wired artificial roses and sun flowers. There were prisms laid out for the students to use, So I chose an octagonal sphere to place in front of my camera lens which gives the kaleidoscope effect over the flowers.

The second photo thats layered is of a bunch of those same prisms posed into a cityscape scene in front of a velvet backdrop. I enjoyed placing this monochromatic photo over the first colored one for the contrast. The different colors helps the viewer see all the shapes these two layered photos add to the picture.

The third photo is of a simple octagonal mirror placed at an angle against the wall. The mirror faced across a large window which is why the neat black lines are on the mirrorโ€™s surface. I placed this image over the cityscape prisms, more over the bottle because of the black color which allows people to see the black lines from the window on the mirror.

I layered these three photos because each one had many interesting shapes and colors within each one. I was able to place the photos in a way where you can see the subject of each photo layered on top each other.
